On Foot
From July 17 to August 17, 2005, I walked 250 miles across Switzerland. Every day I composed a new piece, wrote it down and performed it on the pocket trumpet at 6 p.m. All concerts took place out-of-doors in public spaces such as squares, harbors, intersections, sidewalks, and mountain-tops. Each piece was named after the date and location of the first performance.
Edition Wandelweiser Records released a CD of pieces from the trek on August 23rd, 2011. Brian Olewnick has called the CD a "wonderful recording" . Read the full review here . Richard Pinnell has called the album "lovely" . Read the full review here . Matthew Horne over at tiny mix tapes has reviewed it here .

To celebrate the release, I performed one track from the CD in a public space in New York City each evening at 6:30 pm from August 23rd to August 28th.
